Handy Tool Cart

Submitted by: Jeff Schaefer of Round Rock, Texas

Tool Cart image (click for larger view)Here is a handy tool cart Jeff made from an old queen-size bed frame.  The cart holds Jeff's air compressor, miter saw, clamps, shop radio, and other tools needed to work on his backyard pergola, saving him many trips to the garage.

The cart rides on large pneumatic casters that can handle backyard terrain with no problem, including maneuvering around Jeff's kid's toys in the yard.

Jeff used a Lincoln Electric POWER MIG® 180C wire feeder welder to fabricate the cart.

Boat Top

Submitted by: Thomas Mackie of Waretown, NJ

Boat Top image (click for larger view) Thomas made this top for a 24 foot Aquasport boat using his Lincoln Electric Precision® TIG 275 TIG welder, 5356 filler wire and Schedule 40 anodized aluminum pipe.

He designed and fabricated the entire top himself.  Its purpose is two-fold; shade and storage.

Thomas is a graduate of the Lincoln Electric Welding School.

The above project images and descriptions have been published to show how individuals used their ingenuity for their own needs, convenience and enjoyment. Only limited details are available and the projects have NOT been engineered by the Lincoln Electric Company. Therefore, when you use the ideas for projects of your own, you must develop your own details and plans and the safety and performance of your work is your responsibility.
