Hunting Dog Trailer

Craig Webber is an avid upland game hunter. Here's how he built a custom trailer to keep his dogs well-rested and ready to hunt at the end of a long drive.

"I built a steel frame, 5 feet by 9 feet, with a single axle. I then fabricated an aluminum box that contains six individual kennels for the dogs. The dog boxes are insulated on all sides, and an area above the kennels contains locked storage and a 15 gallon water tank for bird cleaning and dog water. I used my Lincoln Electric® Power MIG™ 255 with a spool gun to weld the aluminum and the steel frame. I also own a Lincoln Electric® Precision TIG™ 185 that was used for building kennel doors and other smaller details. The project took about six months working in the evenings and weekends, and as you can see it turned out very well."
